How About a 'Little Lime'
Hydrangea Little Lime
Hydrangea paniculata 'Little Lime'

Here's a sweet, smaller statured Panicle Hydrangea that we could all find a home for - Hydrangea paniculata 'Little Lime'.  A dwarf form of 'Limelight' growing approximately one third the size - about 3-5' tall, with lime-green flowers in summer, turning light pink in fall.

Plant in full sun to part shade, watering well until established- it then becomes a fairly low maintenance plant. If you need to control it's height, you can prune it early spring with no worries about lack of bloom because they flower on new wood (current season's growth).

Plant it in the mixed border or combined with some broadleaf evergreens along a foundation or patio. They're obviously perfect for the smaller garden!

We've brought in a limited number, so if you are in Newtown, stop by and check them out soon!

Guess Who's Coming to Dinner?
Bobbex logoAs the night time temperatures begins to drop, your customers may start thinking more about firewood than their landscape. It's important to remind them to protect their investments from hungry deer as they begin to find less and less in their own habitat and start looking for tasty morsels closer to civilization.

The folks at Bobbex say "Never give deer the opportunity to feed on your property in the first place. Don't  let them think that that your customer's yard is a place where they can find food. Bobbex will protect the landscape through the long winter and help with wind burn as well."

Apply Bobbex in temperatures between 35 - 85º F on dry days.  Fall and winter spraying will last about 8 weeks and will not wash off. It is safe for people, pets and plants, and has been in use since 1989 - and it was developed right here in Newtown, Connecticut!

Pass along the ready-to-use bottles to your customers, or pick up the concentrate in assorted sizes for your larger jobs.
