Welcome!
Summer is in full swing! We all
anticipated the summer months and now that it is finally here our days are full
of tourists and sunshine (mostly). For many business owners around our area,
they have been satisfied with the amount of business they are receiving.
Although, because of the increasingly touchy economy, there still seems to be a
great deal of hesitation from business owners. Expectations are very high with
Apple Pie Jamboree this coming weekend, so we can hope that some hesitation will
pass with a successful weekend.
Because this is one of the two major weekends of the summer in Pateros, people
have been looking forward to this for months. I know that we have. Much thought
and consideration has been put into this weekend by the APJ committee and many
other citizens of Pateros. With the new tradition of the Dragon Boat races along
with 3 on 3 basketball, the golf tournament, pie baking and much much more,
there is a reason to be in Pateros this weekend!
The Chamber wants to wish everyone a safe and successful weekend. We also want
to remind you of our upcoming meeting this Wednesday the 15th at 12
noon in City Hall. Have a great weekend!

Pateros Chamber of Commerce

incorporated in 1913. Lee Ives, founder,
began farming and trapping near the mouth of the Methow River and later built
the Ives Hotel. During its growth,
Pateros was a main stopping point for the sternwheelers coming up the Columbia
