chaliceSunday Worship Service

Sunday, July 11th, 10:00 AM
"In Praise of the Goddess"
Sharon Wylie, Seminarian from Starr King School for the Ministry with Worship Associate Judith Pomeroy

Neo-pagan traditions recognize the cycles of the moon as visible expressions of how the Goddess works in our lives. Let's honor tonight's new moon with reflections on the visibility and invisibility of the Divine Feminine.

Sunday services (beginning July 4 and ending August 29) start at 10 am. Services are lay led. There is no Contemplative Service. There are no refreshments after the services, just coffee. There is also no choir. Just a bare bones service with a chance to get to know one another better.

Update from the Partner Church Committee

We are delighted that the next year's (2010--2011) Balazs scholar at Starr King School will be Rev. Levente Lazar from our partner church in Sovata. But, as we told you last week, the Belazs Committee this year did not have enough funds for a minister, his wife and two children to travel and live in the US, so we are asked to contribute (about a quarter of the $3500 that the 4th person will cost.) We have over $200 now and are hoping that you will donate so that we can contribute our share as interested and concerned persons about the Sovata church and its minister. For better understanding between our Unitarian faiths it is good to have the interchange of views and the wider perspective that study in a different country provides. A donation of any amount of will help. Make checks to UUCM and be sure to put "Balazs Scholar" on the memo line and send to our administrator. Thank you for your generosity.
