Dream BIG (and often) Sat May 22, 7-9:30 pm |
| A MESSAGE FROM YOUR AUCTION COMMITTEE
Our Dream BIG (and often) Auction is just 2 days away!!!
Remember to bring your party and competitive self because the room will be filled with great offerings (in both live and silent auction bidding), plenty of laughter, drinks at a minimum cost, free snacks to keep the energy level up, and a sense of abundance for our wonderful congregation. Also, don't forget to bring cash, check or credit cards to pay for the services and items at the end of the festivities. A table with set prices for special lower-cost, you-won't-be-outbid items will also take cash during the night.
And to add to the fun: for those members or regular UUCM attenders who bring a guest (or several) you can participate in a very special no-cost, no-bid raffle. Upon check-in each person in your group will receive a ticket for the chance to win a gorgeous, archival matted print by our very own professional award-winning photographer, Dan Van Winkle. (Knowing that people's dreams differ, Dan will offer a selection from which the winner can choose.)
Children are also welcome and childcare is available. No excuses for a fun time to be had by all! See you and your guests on Saturday at 7:00 PM.

Jim Scott in Concert at UUCM sponsored by our UU AcoUUstic Cafe!
|
| Saturday, June 12th , 7:00 PM
Jim Scott in Concert at UUCM sponsored by our UU AcoUUstic Café!
MC and opening for Jim: Rev. Chip Wright
Don't miss this! Jim
Scott is a wonderful songwriter and musician who was a guitarist for
the Paul Winters Consort during its most prolific time, the 1980's. His songs and arrangements have become anthems of that time and our mother earth! He has continued to write, sing and play. Among his songs are "Gather the Spirit" and several others in our UU hymnal. Jim is also one of the creators of our own UUA Green Sanctuary program and a constant voice for the planet and the environment.
The suggested donation is $15 at the door. Wine and beer will be sold by the glass. Corking fee: $15. All the regular AcoUUstic Café's goodies to munch on will be available for a nominal price. Jim will have CDs of his music for sale as well.
So tell your friends, spread the word. Come early to get a good seat. Doors open at 6:30 PM.

Readers' Theatre Next Meets June 10th
|
| The group formerly known as the UUCM
Choral Reading Group will skip its May 27 meeting, and instead resume gathering
on Thursday, June 10 in the Clara Barton Room. Join us for a fun evening of
reading short literary and popular pieces out loud as a group to each other
--sometimes in unison, other times with two on a part, sometimes
each taking an individual part. We have read poems, magazine
articles, filmscripts; short plays and works by group members to come. We
hope to perform a piece during a service in the fall. We meet every second and
fourth Thursday night from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at UUCM. All talkers,
hams, orators, and gossipers are invited. For more information about
UUCM Readers' Theatre, email leader Jan Seagrave .
