Greetings!
Next Tuesday, Oct. 2, school will be on a rally schedule so that freshmen, sophomores and juniors may complete their City Connects surveys.
During the rally period following Period 8 (from 2:17 to 2:59 p.m.), underclassmen will move back to homerooms to complete surveys, and will be dismissed at 3 p.m.
Seniors are not required to take the survey and will be dismissed for the day at 2:17 p.m. Although free to leave the building, we highly encourage all seniors to attend one of two optional College Help Sessions that will be running in the library and in room 237 during the rally time. This is especially a great option for senior student athletes who have practices or games beginning after 3 p.m.
If you have questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to get in touch with me.
Sincerely,
Jason Unger, Assistant Principal | email

Physical Education Waiver Form
Fall student athletes who are participating in the physical education waiver (more information on the waiver may be found on pages 5-6 of the 2012-13 Course Catalog) must print the P.E. Waiver form, complete the student portion and return the form to his or her head coach before the end of the fall season. Coaches will verify that the student fully participated in the sport and return the form to CJ's athletic office. The P.E. waiver will be granted when the student athlete has completed his or her second athletic season and turned in the corresponding paperwork.
It is important that the student athlete completes this paperwork for the fall season now, as it may be hard to verify the student's participation in the sport after the season concludes.

Ann Meyers '76
Ann is beginning her 32nd year teaching math at CJ. Last spring, Ann earned Master Teacher distinction from the State of Ohio.
Over the years, Ann has served as math department chairperson, softball coach and volleyball coach. After retiring from volleyball coaching in 1999, Ann accepted the opportunity to be a member of the CJ delegation that traveled to Rome to witness the beatification of Fr. Chaminade. Passport in hand, Ann subsequently chaperoned four more CJ trips to Europe -- one to Spain and three to France.
Presently, Ann uses her coaching skills to help teachers transition to the profession. She is an Ohio Department of Education Resident Educator mentor and has been formally working with teachers for 12 years. Additionally, Ann can be seen site managing CJ athletic events.
Ann grew up in Dayton, attended St. Rita grade school, Julienne HS (one year), and CJ (three years). Ann received both her undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Dayton, where she currently works as the shot clock operator for both men's and women's basketball games.
When Ann is not grading papers, she enjoys gardening. Ann has three raised vegetable and fruit beds in her backyard along with a cherry tree, numerous red raspberry bushes, and an assortment of flowers. In the summer, she works as a member of the St. Rita landscaping crew. Ann also mows lawns in her neighborhood and helps out wherever help is needed.
