Greetings!
Check out what's new at CJ this week:
Back-to-School Shopping: Next week, a basic CJ school supply list will be made available to all parents and students for the 2012-13 school year. Look for the list in the following issue of the CJ Parent Weekly and online at cjeagles.org beginning Monday, July 16. Final class schedules and other pertinent information will be mailed home in early August.
Uniform Reminders: As first introduced last year, families may once again purchase uniform bottoms from either a CJ vendor or any other retail store so long as the pants, shorts and/or capris meet the criteria listed on page 38 of the Student Handbook. Uniform tops must still be purchased from one of our three vendors:
Walk-ups Welcome: All CJ summer camps will accept walk-up registration with cash payment provided spots are still available. Parents may also register campers online, and online registration for the remaining July summer camps will now stay open through the Sunday before the first day of each camp.
PW Survey Says: Thanks for your feedback so far on improving the CJ Parent Weekly e-newsletter. If you haven't already, please share your ideas with us by taking this short survey. We'll keep the survey open through the end of this month.

Featured Faculty & Staff Member
Drew Reeder
Drew Reeder finds it hard to believe it has already been two years since he became part of the Chaminade Julienne community as a staff member in the communications office at 505 South Ludlow St.
A product of Marianist education, Drew attended Purcell Marian High School in Cincinnati and graduated with a bachelor's degree from Ohio University before landing with the Eagles in August 2010 -- just in time for the beginning of the 160/125 anniversary celebration. Since then, he has been privileged to bear witness to a number of monumental moments as they unfolded into the fabric of CJ's long and illustrious history.
Shortly after his start, Blue Green Field and the Student Conditioning Center officially opened for use. Campus transformed again a year later as the former indoor athletic facility was razed and the new Eagle Tennis Center was opened. In the summer of 2012, Drew helped proudly present these incredible new amenities to the hundreds of alumni who attended CJ's first-annual Reunion Weekend event, held on campus June 15-16.
Through it all, Drew feels most grateful for having the opportunity to share these experiences -- and a myriad of other momentous Eagle achievements -- with his fellow faculty and staff members, families, students, and the many Daytonians proud to call CJ their alma mater. He looks forward to disseminating more exciting news and information for the CJ community throughout the course of the forthcoming 2012-13 school year.
