Greetings!
Today CJ celebrates two very exciting events! After several short months following a late-May groundbreaking, the six-court Eagle Tennis Center makes its official debut this afternoon. Inaugural matches will be played by our women's team as they take on Beavercreek at 4:30 p.m. This beautiful new center represents even more opportunities for all of our students. Good luck Eagles!
This is also the day that we officially launch the CJ Virtual Tour. This amazing tool allows viewers to meet students, parents, faculty & staff members and community leaders and hear what they have to say about CJ and Catholic values, academics, location, community, and affordability. We invite you to experience the full impact of the tool by creating your own custom tour.
Take a look at the Virtual Tour now, or you can also find the tool on the home page of our Web site beginning today. After you've had a look around, be sure and pass along your favorite clips to those who would appreciate knowing more about CJ.
Go Eagles, Go CJ!

UPDATES
Recycle Your Paper At CJ
Did you know you can help CJ earn money just by recycling? Place your newspapers, magazines, shopping catalogs, office and school papers, and mail in our green and yellow Abitibi Paper Retriever located in parking lot A. Most paper can be recycled, but do not include cardboard and phone books.
By recycling paper, not only do you save water and energy, but our school earns money for every pound of paper you help us collect. The money earned then goes to support the continued recycling efforts of the Environmental Club. If you have questions, email club moderators Amy O'Loughlin or Laurie Eloe. Thanks for supporting this student endeavor!

Explore Family Connection with the Guidance Office
At the end of last week and during the beginning of this week, guidance counselors visited all freshman homerooms with instructions regarding logging in to their Family Connection accounts. Freshmen should have also brought home a parent letter containing instructions on using this online tool, which gives students and parents the ability to track standardized test scores, courses, and GPA's for four years. Family Connection can also be an excellent resource for students when they begin their college exploration!
The guidance office would like to introduce all parents to Family Connection at an introductory session on Wednesday, October 5 at 6:30 p.m. All freshmen, sophomore, junior and senior parents are welcome to attend and learn more about this program.

REMINDERS
Final Exam Notifications
Exams are given both in December and in May/June. It is important for all students to be in attendance on exam days. Please avoid scheduling conflicts such as routine doctor appointments, family vacations, college visits, etc. during the exam days. More information regarding exam attendance is available in the Student Handbook on page 23.
In order to eliminate the possibility that a student will have three exams scheduled in one day, there will be a slight modification to the exam dates printed in the original school calendar. The December exams will be given on December 16, 19, 20, and 21. The final exams will be given on May 29, 30, 31, and June 1. The specific schedules will be published closer to exam times.
