An Invitation from the

Catholic Schools Office

The Catholic Schools Office is in the process of leading an effort to define a new vision for Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Cincinnati. As part of this process, a number of "Visioning Sessions" have been established to gather the opinions and insights of people who care about our schools. You are invited to attend any one of three upcoming Visioning Sessions that are open to the general public.

One of these three initial public sessions is being held locally at St. Christopher School in Vandalia (directions) on Thursday, June 9 from 5:30 to 8 p.m.  While all are invited, to attend you must RSVP as space is limited to 200 participants due to facility constraints and to ensure the effective collection of participant input.

To take part, please RSVP by June 6. You may RSVP by doing either of the following:

1.) Access www.catholiccincinnati.org/visioning-registration

2.) Call 513.421.3131 ext. 2712

Sessions will also be held in Cincinnati at LaSalle High School and Moeller High School on June 7 and 8 respectively from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Light refreshments will be served at all sessions.

If you are unable to attend any of these sessions, an on-line survey will be made available at this link beginning Tuesday, June 7:

www.catholiccincinnati.org/education/lighting_the_way

Thanks for your consideration in helping to make all of our Catholic schools the best institutions they can be.

EMF Forms Due & Medications Need Retrieved

All students are required to have an annual Emergency Medical Form (EMF) on file in the School Clinic (view/print form). Over 80 returning students have not submitted their form for next year. Many EMFs were mailed home for correction and/or completion and have not been returned. These forms must be on file by June 3, 2011 if the student is participating in summer sports. Any student who has not submitted an EMF by August 31, 2011 may face exclusion from school until we receive a complete form.

Additionally, parents are reminded that any medications stored in the clinic must be picked up no later than Friday, June 3 by 3 p.m. The nurse does not work over the summer so any medications that are not picked up by this date and time will be disposed of. Students may pick up the medications after exams or the parent may come in to retrieve the medication.
