Changes to the School Uniform Guidelines for 2011-2012

Greetings!

Members of the Uniform Committee have decided to implement a few changes to CJ's uniform guidelines for the 2011-2012 school year. The majority of these changes affect the amount of options available to students regarding purchasing uniform tops and bottoms.

Tops will still need to be purchased from one of the following three CJ vendors: Appleheart, Anyway U Want It Designs, or Casual Image. However, vendors will begin offering our short and long sleeve Polo shirts (with CJ logo) in royal blue and kelly green in addition to the current white, navy blue, and hunter green shirts now available.

Pants, shorts and capris can be purchased from CJ vendors as well as other retail stores. All bottoms must meet the following criteria to be worn at school:

  • Color must be regular khaki (medium shade/tan). No dark or sand.
  • No cargo pockets. Four pocket max (two front, two back)
  • No corduroy
  • No khaki or navy jeans
  • No skinny style pants
  • No elastic or drawstring waist pants, shorts, or capris.

For more details and a complete listing of changes, please reference the 2011-2012 School Uniform Guidelines

Sincerely,

Jason Unger, Vice Principal  |  email

EMF Forms Due & Medications Need Retrieved

All students are required to have an annual Emergency Medical Form (EMF) on file in the School Clinic (view/print form). Over 80 returning students have not submitted their form for next year. Many EMFs were mailed home for correction and/or completion and have not been returned. These forms must be on file by June 3, 2011 if the student is participating in summer sports. Any student who has not submitted an EMF by August 31, 2011 may face exclusion from school until we receive a complete form.

Additionally, parents are reminded that any medications stored in the clinic must be picked up no later than Friday, June 3 by 3 p.m. The nurse does not work over the summer so any medications that are not picked up by this date and time will be disposed of. Students may pick up the medications after exams or the parent may come in to retrieve the medication.
