2011 Lenten Mission Drive

Benefits CJ's Founding Orders

Greetings!

This year, all the money collected during CJ's Lenten Mission Drive will be split and donated to two causes close to our hearts: The Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur in Brazil, who work with human trafficking victims; and the Marianist MIRACLE program, a vocational school for orphans of AIDS in Malawi.

Throughout the drive, there will be several opportunities for the CJ community to give to both missions. Here are just a few ways to get involved:

  • All are invited to take part by attending the men's home volleyball game against Carroll tomorrow at 7 p.m. Tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for students. All proceeds from ticket sales, as well as the money from the sale of cheese pizza during and after the game, will go to the missions.
  • Students are able to give at any time to the mission donation cans, which are located in every classroom.
  • Faculty, staff and students can contribute during two special out of uniform days. The first, a jeans day for faculty and staff only, will be held this Friday, April 1. The second, an all-school jeans day, will be held next Friday, April 8. The cost is $2; one dollar for each mission.

Please encourage your son or daughter to support the missions!

Sincerely,

Kelli D. Kinnear, Ministry & Service  |  email
