Family Connection Night

Thursday, Feb. 24  |  6:30 pm

Greetings!

With warmer weather and spring approaching, the Guidance Department is in full swing preparing students to finish this year and start the next one. Here are just a few things you should be aware of for the weeks ahead:

  • Students in need of a transcript for the special CJ scholarships should see Mrs. Muhl to have their name added to the weekly list. Transcripts will be printed and ready for pick-up each Friday. Please note that current freshman will need a copy of their 8th grade report card for the two years' worth of grades. Because transcripts are not updated until the end of each school year, first semester report cards will be included.
  • AP testing fees were due to the business office by Friday, Feb. 11. We will only be ordering tests for non-AP students who have paid this fee. Students taking AP classes will have the $87 test fee added to their CJ account.

Finally, mark your calendar for Family Connection Night on Thursday, Feb. 24 at 6:30 p.m. in room 035. If you are not familiar with Family Connection, this is the perfect opportunity to learn about this amazing tool which parents and students can use to discover careers, colleges, and much more!

Go Eagles!

Attention Freshmen Parents

Freshmen received information in homeroom on Tuesday, Feb. 15 regarding CJ's computer skills requirement. Students have two choices to complete this requirement:

  • One choice is to take the semester-long Computer Topics class (usually taken during sophomore year).
  • The second choice is to try to test-out of the class by passing four computer skills tests. The tests cover skills in Keyboarding, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. The test-out option is only available to students during their freshman year.

More information on this program, including online training options for students and test dates, may be found on the Business and Technology Department's Web page.
