Quarterly Connection Tip: How to Measure Performance of the MFS Program in your Store
 

One of the perks of the MFS program is that you have a great deal of control over the performance of the program. Make it a 2010 goal to implement these steps to help measure performance in your store:

 
- Designate a category champion.
 
- Establish a target - there has to be one - and it's best if it's  a long-term one.
 
- Provide measurement - without this you've got nothing; the more frequent the measurement, the more top-of-mind the category becomes.
 
- Establish a Minimum Acceptable Standard of performance. Everyone needs to know what's acceptable and what isn't.
 
- Have consequences that fit the corporate culture for those who can't/won't participate.
 
- Provide resources for poor performers - help strugglers by understanding their barrier(s) to success.
 
- Provide rewards - give high performers even more reason to push themselves.
