The Lancaster Historic Home Show will premier on Friday, February 26, 2010 - bringing together contractors that specialize on older homes and traditional tradespeople with people that love their older homes in the Central Pennsylvania area.

Preview Gala
Friday, February 26, 2010 from 6-9 PM
The Lancaster Historic Home Show will premier Friday, February 26, 2010 at the Lancaster County Convention Center (3 East Vine Street, Lancaster, PA 17603) with a Gala Reception from 6 PM until 9 PM. Live music will be provided by Jason Mandock a contemporary folk singer and songwriter from Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
There will be a silent auction of architectural accents and replicas of period style architectural details - all of the proceeds from the silent auction will be donated to Landis Valley Museum.
The Gala Reception is $25 per person* and includes hors d' oeuvres, dessert bar, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages. A cash bar will be available for mixed drinks.
Tickets are available in advance at the Vintage Productions office (341 E. Liberty St. Lancaster, PA 17602) or at the door the night of the event.
Children under 12 are free (admission is good for the entire weekend and includes: exhibits, demonstrations, educational seminars, and door prize opportunities).
*$2.00 from every ticket sold will benefit The Closer to Equality Capital Campaign to fund the construction of the Stevens and Smith Historic Education and Interpretive Complex at the corner of East Vine and South Queen Streets in Lancaster City.* |

Showcase Weekend
Saturday, February 27, 2010 from 10 AM until 6 PM
Sunday, February, 28, 2010 from 11 AM until 5 PM
Vintage Productions has partnered with the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission, Preservation Trades Network, Historic Preservation Trust of Lancaster County, and the Stevens and Smith Historic site to bring the Lancaster area a home show devoted to the preservation of our collective built history.
The Lancaster Historic Home Show will present:
- over seventy vendors (from contractors to traditional craftspeople),
- demonstrations of traditional crafts and trades,
- educational seminars (details below),
- Keynote Speech, "Save Your Wood Windows" by John Leeke, preservation consultant, contributing editor to Old House Journal, and author of The Practical Restoration Reports,
- a roundtable discussion "The Art and Science of Traditional Trades" Saturday, February 27th at 2PM,
- door prizes for goods and services from many vendors, and
- a book signing by John Leeke at Steven Schuyler Bookseller. John will be signing copies of his newest book Save America's Windows at 1 PM on Sunday, February 28th.
General admission is $12 per person* - children under 12 are free (admission is good for the entire weekend and includes: exhibits, demonstrations, educational seminars, and door prize opportunities).
