F.A.S.T. Fitness Training Tip
The key to your fitness success is really quite simple and can be summed up in two words. 1. Change 2. Consistency Change- in order to keep loosing weight or body fat and gain strength your fitness program needs to be in a state of continual change. Gradually (about 10% a week) increase your distance, time, weight lifted, or speed. If your time is already maxed out given your schedule, think intensity, thus increased resistance or speed. Consistency- small changes over time will yield big results. Former President Bill Clinton dropped just 150 calories a day from his intake (1/3 of a piece of pie) and in a year lost 20 lbs. To do this requires the above, a Change in your habits. Instead of that cookie and TV show after the evening meal it's out the door for a 15 min, walk. Fewer calories plus a little increase in activity equals a positive change. The key is consistency. Walking once a week is like brushing your teeth once a week, better than nothing but doesn't yield big results.
