I am taking a vacation for a month. Below are the new temporary hours.

Closed Wednesday and Friday
The new hours start March 23 and we will go back to our regular hours of seven days a week on March 25.
During this time period I will be visiting other yarn shops and moving yarns around in the shoppe. We have added Cascade Ultra Pima and need to find a spot to put it. So I will be deciding what yarn we will place on sale. We have also ordered MadelineTosh Pashima and DK, which should arrive in early June.
In the meantime, enjoy this lovely spring weather.

Knitting with Two Colors 
Once again Meg and Amy have written a book that will be a welcomed addition to your library. It is a two-color knitting workshop for beginner to advanced knitters. There are extensive instructions for custom sizing and centering patterns, as well as step by step direction to help you design and knit multiple styles of two-color garments. Little Knitted Creatures 
I brought this book in as it has a squirrel, acorn, hedgehog, owl, and mouse as part of the twenty-three adorable knitted creatures.
Great patterns using worsted weight yarns.
Superstar Knitting by Debbie Stoller
WestKnits Book 3 - copies are going fast. Stephen has
wonderful designs of hats, mitts, scarfs, satchel, and a lovely circular blanket.
Classic Elite Peabody Path - vest, pullovers, cardigans, shawls knit out of Firefly.
Classic Elite Surf - cardigans, shrug, purse, and top knitted out of Sprout.
Square Peg - This pattern was written using Misti Alpaca Chunky. It is a simple top down pattern with an update on the poncho. The details at the neckline and bottom edge add interest. 
Sleeves are created with simple tacking.
Savannah uses worsted weight yarn. Two different shapes are constructed in the same simple manner. 
The open weave tunic/oversized top is worked in one piece from side seam to side seam.
To Eyre A simple 1800's style ruffled garter stitch shawl is knitted in a light worsted weight wool from side to side with short-row garter-stitch ruffles on bottom edge and short rows shaping shoulders and back. Four different options are offered.
Earth & Sky Another fingering to sport shawl by Stephen West.

Knit Kit
Knit Kit has upgraded their product. Hot pink is the new color.
The front contains a row counter and a retracting 5ft. tape measure. The left side of The Knit Kit has a fully removable crochet hook for picking up that dropped stitch or weaving in an end and the right side of The Knit Kit has a folding in-and-out thread cutter in the event your scissors are not available. The back compartment of The Knit Kit nicely houses sturdy, TSA Compliant, collapsible scissors as well as point protectors, three different sized stitch markers, and darning needle.
The needle gauge has sizes from 000 to 15, including the UK size 2.25.
