Greetings!

We are in full swing summer.  Hope you all are getting in your beach time, with sunblock, of course.  Gardens should be begging for water and weeding.

Make sure you take some time out for relaxing with yarn.  Stop by the shoppe and see our two trunk shows, lots of wonderful yarn, needles, bags, and notions.   Also, we have lots of Blue Heron and more Thistledown Yarn!!!

Okay, I gave in.  The Blue Heron yarn representative was coming to my shoppe.  And I like Blue Heron, but did we really need more yarn at the shoppe?

Guess we did, 'cause she was doing cash and carry and she left quite a bit of yarn with me.

Buy one skein of yarn and take your pick of three free patterns.

Thistledown Yarn

We received more yarn this week from Fiona.

TS yarn

Up North and Lake Effect.

Ask me how much fun I have naming the colorways.

Orange Hawkweed, Marina Blues, Evening Sky over Lake Michigan, Spring Woods, Twilight Sky, Sand Between Your Toes, Rain Over Water, Misty Morning, Sweet Pea, Early Morning at Gills Pier

Lovely as usual.  Thanks, Fiona.

Yarn Lover's Night

Every Wednesday, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, we meet to socialize and see what others are making.  Feel free to join in the fun.

Okay you sock folks.  If you haven't seen this yet, look at the Double Heelix.  The heel catches your attention - this is perfect for clogs.  Plus you get to learn some new techniques!

If you are wanting to knit Hey, Teach, but would like 3/4 length sleeves, check this out.  I found it while playing on Ravelry.

Blue Heron Cotton Rayon Seed Shawl

A crocheted fan and feather scarf using Blue Heron Rayon Metallic.

Crochet the Sweet Loopy Scarf out of Blue Heron Rayon Metallic

Knit the Drop Stitch Scarf with any of our slinky yarns, such as Blue Heron.

(Am I giving you enough reasons to come in and see our Blue Heron?)

And I am checking out Ravelry to see what others have made with their Blue Heron Rayon Metallic and Clapotis is taking the lead.  Wisp is also doing well.

Try the Holden Shawlette  (Ravelry link) with Blue Heron Egyptian Mercerized Cotton or our Lake Effect, Third Coast, and Up North yarn, or the Lace Ribbon Scarf (we have this made up in the Crock O Dye sock yarn).  One lady (Ravelry link) made the Summit out of this yarn.

A lovely shawl, MIr , use any fingering weight or lace weight yarn.  As in fingering weight sock yarn, or the Egyptian Mercerized Cotton, Lake Effect, Third Coast, and Up North yarn
