Greetings!

The one constant thing about Northern Michigan is that we can have a whole gamut of weather within several weeks.  We have gone from cool to rainy to hot and humid within several weeks.

So, if you are like me, and this week's weather is too much for you, I assure you that we have air conditioning in the shoppe.  And lots of cool cottons, linens, and hemp to work up into lovely items.

As Elizabeth Zimmermann would say, "Knit on with confidence and hope."

Namaste -   We are excited that we are carrying this line of fiber arts project bags.  Several weeks ago, a customer came in with the Laguna bag

Laguna

and I was sold.  I had heard about this company, but had never seen their product.  Now I know why other stores can't keep them in stock.

We have their bags and accessories, which include circular needle cases,

wallets, pouches, and needle cozies, and mini clutches. The bags double as a purse and project bag.   And if we are out of stock we will order what you want.

Newborn Shorties - cute short pants for the little one.  Mission Fall's 1824 would be perfect for this.

Practical Procrastination Pullover- this is for those of you with a 36" bust. It is a sweet pullover top and would look very nice in Loyal or ShiBui.

Baby Vest Garter Ridges- I would call this a short sleeved baby cardigan, but whatever, it is lovely and easy.  Made out of worsted weight gives you lots of choices - Cotton Fleece, Seredipity Tweed, Mission Falls 1824 and Cotton, Lava, and Northern Worsted - to name a few.

Mr. Tabi Flip Flop Socks- want socks for your flip flops? Here you go. You will need to be a Ravelry member to access this pattern.

Pot Holder- a bit of seed and stockinette stitch and you have a delightful gift.  Sugar N Cream, Allhemp 6, and Euroflax would be great for this pattern.

Hey, Teach- made out of the Knit One Crochet Too 2nd Time Cotton

How to increase stitches evenly
You are working on an item and the pattern tells you to increase by so many stitches, but it doesn't tell you where to put the increases.  Go to this site for instructions.  You enter the numbers and it tells you where to add your new stitches.

I used it the other day for a woman knitting a sweater and it was a time saver.

  Trunk Show

We have a lovely doll, book, and garments that will make you go "aaahhhh."
