We have a pink laundry hamper at the shoppe and are asking that you help us fill it up by April 17 for the Opportunity Conference that will be held on May 2.

Requested articles include:  laundry detergent, fabric softener, dish soap, bath soap, toothpaste, toothbrush, shampoo, cream rinse, deodorant, toilet paper, and facial tissue.  Other optional items are:  rolled fleece blanket, non-perishable foods, dish towels, coffee, sanitary products, razors, shaving cream, hand cream, body lotion, and fun items appropriate for the coming season.

Please do not donate any item that has been opened or used as we will have to throw them away.

We are hoping you will help us fill and overflow the hamper, since there are many others needing to be filled.

Free Patterns

Jill pointed this pattern out to me last year and I promptly forgot about it.  This year, while I was perusing Ravelry  (love that site)  I found it again.

lace scarf

For those of you who have Ravelry, here is the link for the Lace Ribbon Scarf by Veronik Avery.  Otherwise, go to Knitty and this is your link.  Either way, it is an amazing pattern.  Use any of our sock yarns, the ShiBui Silk Cloud, Stella, Prime Alpaca, Baby Ull, Dawn, Euroflax, Cotton Fine, Bamboo, Nature Spun Sport, Pima Tencel, Melody - there may be other yarns I am missing.

If you are on Ravelry, check out some of the 3272 finished scarfs. It is great for warm or cold weather.  I also suggest blocking as it certainly makes a difference in how this scarf looks when completed.

Another cute pattern is Helena.  You could use Sierra Quatro, Stella, Bamboo, Cotton Fine, sock yarn or Baby Ull for this.
