hats

As you can see, folks have been having fun knitting the hats for our county road workers.  As of  this date, we have 28 hats. Once they are all turned in, I will place pictures of everyone on the blog.

If you are working on a hat, please get it back to us so that we can take them over to the road commission next week.

Knitting by the Bay 2009, Lace Workshop

April 17, 18, and 19
Bayshore Resort

We are bringing Amy Detjen back to teach us lace knitting. The agenda will run similar to last year's in that Amy will arrive Thursday afternoon and leave Sunday afternoon.  That gives us a little extra time to bend her ear.

Amy is a technical editor at Schoolhouse Press, helps Meg Swanson teach knitting at the Schoolhouse Press knitting camps, has had her designs published in Sweaters from Camp and A Gathering of Lace and writes technical articles for Knitter's magazine.  Amy is knowledgeable, enthusiatic, positive, and fun.  You will come away from this retreat challenged and full of fresh new ideas.

Thursday 5 pm on (social time)
Friday  9 am until 4:30 pm
Saturday 9 am until 4:30 pm
Sunday  9 am until noon

Skill level is beyond beginner.

Tuition is $195.  The cost includes lunch and dinner on Friday, lunch on Saturday, and snacks for all three days.
The motel rooms are $90 per night.  Each room may have up to 4 people, for that price, per room.

Class size is limited to 25.

Call us for more information and to sign up.
