room we found.  It is now easier to see all of the yarn, books, patterns, and notions.  And, we found room to bring in more yarn and other goodies!

Pictures are on our blog, so if you can't come in, check them out.
  ShiBui Trunk Show and Sale

Ready to knit a new project?  We will be hosting a trunk show from ShiBui Knits Yarn on Wednesday, February 11 until Wednesday, February 25.   This is the time to try on, fall in love with, and fondle over twenty different garments.  There will be everything from a sweet baby onesie that is a replica of a 1935 garment, to a cable wrap, socks, gloves, vests, and sweaters.   Their yarns include Baby Alpaca, a glorious Silk Cloud containing kid mohair and silk, springy sock yarn, and a chunky Highland Wool Alpaca - all of it hand-dyed.  And as our Valentine gift to you, all ShiBui yarns in stock will be on sale for 20% off.

Looking for a way to say "thanks" to the guys who plow our county roads?  Thistledown Shoppe, in conjunction with Brown Sheep yarn, is looking for volunteers to knit hats.

easy watch cap

We will supply the orange and black yarn and pattern.  Even if you haven't knitted in a while, this is the perfect opportunity to give thanks to a group of hardworking folks.  You are welcome to join us on Monday nights, during our regular Yarn Lover's Night, to knit up the hats.

Please contact us if you would like to help us out.  We are hoping to have 37 hats knitted up by March 1.
