One of the reasons I love winter is for the holiday season.  I love the decorations, the lights, the food, the parties!  I also love being in a warm home with the fireplace crackling away; my knitting in my lap, good music, and hot chocolate.

Following are some ideas to help you be prepared for this Christmas.  Remember, we are open seven days a week and are here to help.

Wish List and Gift Certificates

What about those who want to buy you a gift, but don't know what to get you?

We have several options.  The easiest one is a gift certificate.  We will keep a card on file containing all of the information of your gift certificate, so you do not have to bring in your certificate to use it.  Or, come in, fill out a card for your wish list and we will keep it on file, all ready for your friends and relatives.

Gifts for Foster Youth

This Monday night, for Yarn Lover's Night, we will be doing something a little bit different.  Grand Traverse Pie is generously donating pie to us as we create gifts for the foster youth in our community.  If you do not have the time to quickly knit or crochet something, then drop off a gas card, or grocery card, or any other new item that can be given to them.  We have 97 youth and  we would love to have full bags for them on December 18.

If you are not able to join us Monday evening, you may drop off your item by Tuesday morning of the 16th.

  A Sad Note

For those of you that have purchased the sock yarn hand dyed by Fourth Coast Fibers, we are sad to announce that Kathy Rowe passed on early last Friday.  May her spirit be at peace.
