We just received word that this past Friday, March 25 Jane Rhoads went home to be with Jesus. 

  

Night after night for the past two years a special lady by the name of Jane Rhoads has been coming to the Y.E.S! program.  She came travelling from Indy's east side by Indigo Bus for handicapped people.  She was confined to a wheel chair all of her life.  She had many difficult struggles but  in spite of her difficult physical handicaps Jane was one of our most loving and caring volunteers.  Over the past two years she developed a tremendous rapport with the children and many of them grew to love her.  To many of the kids she was a grandmother figure and a mentor.

  

I loved her for her positive attitude and her faith.  She was an inspiration to me, the children and to all who knew her and had the privilege of working with her. Jane was an encourager and I often heard her say to the LifeBridge kids, "if I can do it, you can do it".

  

We will miss Jane but we are glad that she is with Jesus. 

  

Funeral Arrangements are pending at the Flanner Buchanan Funeral Home on 10612 E Washington Street.
