About the Speakers
Sister Joyce Cox is a Sister of Charity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. She is the Director for Ecumenism/Interreligious Dialogue and Director for Religious in the Archdiocese of Seattle.
Sister Joyce has been active in a variety of ecumenical and interfaith relationships and activities for over twenty-four years. She is the co-founder of "Children of Abraham," Christian, Jewish and Muslim Dialogue that began one month before 9/11 and with Sanaa Joy Carey, Muslim co-founder, was active in creating knowledge and understanding of Interfaith over a period of four years. Sister Joyce continues to participate in several other dialogues.
She is a frequent presenter and facilitator on ecumenical and interfaith topics at local, regional and national levels. Her current focus is centered on the possibility of forming a Coalition of ecumenical and interfaith organizations working for the abolition of Human Trafficking. She also joins with others supporting the Invictus Foundation, an organization working with veterans who have PTSD where unmet needs and services are becoming more and more dramatic.

Emily LaHood is a staff member at the Intercommunity Peace and Justice Center, where she focuses on human trafficking through educational outreach and advocacy work.
