Maryknoll Ordination
Hung Minh Dinh, M.M., of Garden Grove, Calif., was ordained to the priesthood on Saturday, May 31, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Queen of Apostles Chapel, Maryknoll Society Center in Ossining, N.Y., by His Eminence Edward Cardinal Egan, Archbishop of New York. During the Mass, Reverend Dinh, who has been assigned to work in Africa, participated in the traditional Maryknoll sending ceremony, an event held prior to a missioner's departure overseas.

Greetings!

Many thanks to Jerry Grudzen for his excellent presentation at the last Mission Forum on Islam and Christian relations.   Be sure to read more about it in the next issue of the Maryknoll Magazine.   There will be no Mission Forums over the summer.   The next Forum will be in September.

Mark your calendars...we'll be sending our newest missionary couples off at the end of August with a Mass and BBQ...see the details below.

As many have heard, the diocese will be closing our host parish, St. Alphonsus, at the end of June.  Our Regional Mission Center will remain where it is for now as we explore our options.

We have a new look for our Email Updates.   We hope that you like it and would appreciate any feedback.  Even more, we'd love it if you would pass this on to family and friends who might share an interest in mission:  Forward to a Friend

Wishing you a restful summer,
Matt, Marie and Kris
