MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS

The election is over and kudos to all who put their names forward to represent the residents of Ward 26.

Congratulations to the successful candidates:
Mayor:  Rob Ford
City Councillor:  John Parker
English Public School Trustee:  Gerri Gershon
English Catholic School Trustee:  Angela Kennedy
French Public School Trustee:  François Guérin
French Catholic School Trustee:  Claude-Reno D'Aigle

Thanks to all the volunteers on the various campaigns who helped their respective candidates. 

Next up:  the Federal election perhaps.  Declared candidates include John Carmichael for the Conservative Party of Canada, Georgina Wilcock for the Green Party of Canada, and Rob Oliphant for the Liberal Party of Canada.  Contact any of them if you want to get involved on any of the campaigns.  If you can't find them, contact me and I will connect you.

LADIES EID BAZAAR

ICNA Thorncliffe Sisters Wing has organized a Ladies Eid

Bazaar for the joyful occasion of Eid-ul-Adha. Join us for an unforgettable evening featuring traditional clothing for women and children along with jewelry, food stalls, games and much more.
