The City of Toronto Parks & Recreation Dept. and the Toronto Police, 53 Division, are running their annual Cops & Kids ball hockey tournament this Saturday December 19th.  Those of you who were at the 53 Division Town Hall meeting last month might recall Staff Seargant Peter Henry talking about it.

 

The tournament is for boys and girls between the ages of 8 and 18.  The event is free but you must sign up in advance, by Thursday December 17 at the latest.

 

The tournament will be held at Thorncliffe Park Public School from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Saturday December 19, 2009.  Players are to arrive at 11:30 am.

 

At this point, the registration is open for girls only to sign up. 

 

The teams are co-ed, that is the boys and girls play together on the same team, within their age group.

In order to ensure that the girls receive a t-shirt, they must sign up (by emailing me) by 12:00 pm (noon) on Tuesday December 15, 2009.  You can still sign up after Tuesday but the t-shirts are being ordered Tuesday afternoon so anyone who signs up after Tuesday may or may not receive a t-shirt.

 

Please email me as soon as possible, and no later than Thursday December 17, 2009, which is the last day to sign up.
