Tomorrow evening (Wed. Dec. 2) a couple visiting from Zimbabwe will be giving an informal presentation about their country at Leaside United Church (Millwood and McRae).
Sufiso Mpufo, the husband, is a guest lecturer at Emmanuel College, UofT, and his wife Kitso Mpufo has been volunteering at a refugee resettlement centre. They have been here for a few months and are due to return to Africa later this month.
They are very interesting, delightful people and they will fill us in on what is happening in their country. There will be plenty of time for questions and dialogue. They are very concerned about violence erupting if and when there is a power vacuum, when Mugabe leaves (one way or another!).
It is at 7:00. Light refreshments will be served.
