Free Ice Hockey League for Boys and Girls
A free ice hockey program for boys and girls is starting this month. Here are the details.
Who can play: boys and girls aged 8, 9, or 10, as of December 31, 2009. The teams are co-ed, that is, the boys and girls play together on the same team.
Skating Skill: you do not have to know how to skate, the first few weeks will be instructional
Hockey Experience: do you not have to know how to play hockey, the first few weeks will be instructional
When:: Sundays from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm
Where: Flemingdon Area, also called Angela James Arena, in Flemingdon Park
Start Date: Sunday Oct. 25, continues for about 25 weeks
Registration: call Jon at 416-625-1415 or go the Dennis Timbrill Resource Centre (Flemingdon Resource Centre) and speak with Ray Peter.
ID: you will need to show your birth certificate and heath card when you register
All of the required equipment will be provide free - skates, sticks, etc. Equipment will be given out on Sunday Oct. 18.
This is a great opportunity to learn to skate and to learn the exciting sport of hockey!
