Tomorrow night, November 28th, is the "4th Monday" and so we will convene at 7:00 p.m. to discuss this month's book, Abraham Verghese's novel, Cutting for Stone. I have heard nothing but high praise for the book, and I have found it engrossing and very well written, myself. I hope you all enjoyed it. See the links below for further information
Thanks again to Susan R. for recommending this book. Let's plan on meeting in the lobby at the Cultural Center tomorrow evening; we'll head upstairs from there to our meeting room. (Didn't quite finish this lengthy selection? No matter: As always, you are still welcome to attend the meeting!)
Remember: No Meeting in December -- HAPPY HOLIDAYS! We'll reconvene on January 23, 2012!
Thanks to all who took time to nominate books, consider the selections, and VOTE for our 2012 Reading List. Jean K. and I met and tallied the votes, and Jean has kindly "ordered" the results for us:
