DOWNTOWN RECOGNITION AWARD
Jean Frey
The Bridgewater Community Development Committee has chosen Jean Frey as its 3rd Quarter Downtown Recognition recipient for 2011. Jean is being recognized for her wonderful spirit of volunteerism and as a leader in our community.
Along with her husband Larry of 42 years, Jean has planted the flower planters in Bridgewater with seasonal flowers along with business partner Bonnie Wright. This effort has inspired a host of other Bridgewater businesses to keep up the beautification of Bridgewater by maintaining their planters each season. Individual attention to these kinds of details in our downtown is what is needed toward our goal of making Bridgewater a more attractive place to live and shop. Jean has also been an integral part of many important community life activities in town such as Bookfest and Pumpkinfest. Somehow Jean manages to find time to enjoy her two grandchildren and her favorite pass times of painting, drawing, reading and yoga.
Through her leadership, Bridgewater has enjoyed revitalization in the areas of business development and community life. |
