DOWNTOWN RECOGNITION AWARD

The Elizabeth Business District Advisory Committee (BDAC) has chosen community volunteer Robin Miller as its 4th Quarter Downtown Recognition recipient for 2010. Robin has been an Elizabeth Borough Council member for the past five years, serving as Vice President the last three years, and is the Business Development Chair for BDAC.
She has volunteered countless hours within the community on a variety of events including Community Clean Up, Light Up Night, Fun to be a Kid Day, Fishing Contest, Movies in the Park, Plum Street, the Halloween Parade, and the Sunflower Garden.
Robin serves as the Public Safety chairperson for the borough, a position she takes very seriously. She continues to look for ways to make the Elizabeth Borough community safer for its citizens, and has hosted many public meetings to keep borough residents informed.
Robin also served as one of the coordinators for the Jacob Bendel Memorial Basketball Court project at Duke Park, and participates in the Jacob Bendel Softball tournament every year.
Robin and her husband Cliff have been married for 17 years, and are the proud parents of two teenage daughters, Katie and Gracie.

PHLF UPDATE REGARDING ALLEGHENY RESTORES
It's been a busy summer and fall throughout the Allegheny Together communities. Business and building owners are completing façade improvement projects both big and small, special events brought residents and new visitors alike to the downtowns, and new businesses are cropping up everywhere. It has been an exciting few months and as the weather gets colder, PHLF is available to assist you in a variety of ways. This is the perfect time to plan a façade project, and we're here to help you understand the Allegheny Restores application process and help generate ideas for specific improvements to your building. We also have free interior design assistance available from a roster of experienced design professionals that can help you create eye-catching window displays, maximize interior layout, and assist with merchandising so special items are highlighted.
In the New Year, we're looking forward to continuing the great momentum that each community has made and build upon it. Are you a building owner who has a downtown storefront available for sale or lease? You may be wondering how to reach the people looking for space in your community. Town Center Associates offers a way for building owners to reach potential buyers and tenants. The website downtownproperties.net offers up-to-date information on all of the commercial storefronts in your town available for sale or lease, in nearly thirty communities in Beaver, Allegheny and Lawrence counties.
