What's on my Mind? A Link to Ginger's Blog...
April has been the calm (or not so calm) before the storm of 2+ months of non-stop traveling. In preparing for 5 trips (Brasilia, Montreal, Prague, Australia - Melbourne & Sydney - and Hong Kong) plus some US-based consulting projects, with only a few days in-between, I have had to get all my consultation sessions designed, all materials ordered and assembled, all travel arrangements made (including 2 visas), organize the office for my absence, and make sure the home-front can handle my absence for such a long time (very sick cat, wonderful son, bills, etc.). It has been daunting, but I think I will be in the right country at the right time with the right materials!

We are finalizing the new, full color Enneagram Symbol Fabric Banner (42 inches X 42 inches). They are being printed as we speak and should arrive soon. And then there's the new Enneagram Screen Saver. It has been field-tested and is ready to roll out. We are just finalizing how to make it accessible on the website store. All of this technical work is hard on my non-technical brain and it is very complicated to get it right. We will hopefully have this available in the next few weeks. It is truly stunning.

Other than that, I am very excited for my upcoming travels. You can read Part 1 of my 3-part series on my adventures with Claudio's Brazilian program in the most recent blog for this month (see blogs below). Montreal is a city I've never been to and Peter McGaugh has done a wonderful job of letting people know about it (there are a few places, but only a few, still available). Working for Nestle in Prague is such fun (I really like and respect the people I work with there), and as part of my compensation package, they give me the best candy ever, made from natural ingredients and using old Czech recipes. In addition, I get to honor Eva Velechovska, Enneagram teacher, business consultant, and light being. It is the 20th anniversary of her Czech-based company, VEVA. Australia is going to be very new for me, I get to see good friends (like Gayle Hardie and Malcolm Lazenby, who are also taking me to meet their shaman-holy man) and spend time with Tracy Tresidder, who has been amazing in promoting my coaching program there. Last but not least is the coaching program in Hong Kong, where I get to spend time with one of the people I love most: Gloria Hung!

The Enneagram in Business Blogs

This month has four blogs: three are based on Gerry Fathauer's Inspiration activity because there was simply too much to say in one blog alone. The most recent blog is the 1st in a 3-part series on my ventures to Brazil at Claudio Naranjo's international symposium on the ennea-types.

My Journey Part 1 | Naranjo's Ennea-type Symposium
This blog describes how I got invited to presents and my thoughts and feelings on going there. Once there, part 2 of this series will describe the actual experience in Brasilia. The final blog in this series will cover my larger reflections on the experience and learning once I am home againClick here to read this blog.

Inspiration Part 3 - Mental Center Styles

Gerry Fathauer writes excellent Insight Activities each month, but this month's Insight Activity was so complex that I had to write 3 different blogs to cover some of the ideas mentioned. In this third blog, you can read about how the Mental Center Styles - Five, Six, and Seven - can engage in development activities to help them become more inspired. Click here to read this blog.

Inspiration Part 2 - Heart Center Styles
Gerry Fathauer writes excellent Insight Activities each month, but this month's Insight Activity was so complex that I had to write 3 different blogs to cover some of the ideas mentioned. In this 2nd blog, you can read about how the Heart Center Styles - Two, Three, and Four - can engage in development activities to help them become more inspired. Click

Inspiration Part 1 - Body Center Styles
Gerry Fathauer writes excellent Insight Activities each month, but this month's Insight Activity was so complex that I had to write 3 different blogs to cover some of the ideas mentioned. In this first blog, you can read about how the Body Center Styles - Eight, Nine, and One - can engage in development activities to help them become more inspired. Click here to read this blog.

Development Tip: "What's This?"

When Uranio Paes led his program, "Energy Work with the Enneagram: Diving Deep into the Arrows, Wings, and Gurdjieff's Laws," in March, he kept repeating a simple question every time he worked with someone. Whenever the person was having any sort of inner reaction, Uranio would ask him or her, "What's this?" And the person would always have an answer, a very true and simple answer. I keep hearing Uranio's voice in my head every time I have any reaction, and I ask myself, "What's this?" Whether it is a thought that's surprising or recurring, a feeling stirring, or a body sensation, this simple question works.

My sense is that the question's simplicity bypasses our tendency to say, "I don't know," to over analyze something, or to give a more surface answer. The results of asking this question can be quite profound.

Try it for one day. Every time you have an inner experience - even if you think you know it - ask yourself this: What's this?
