Ask a Leading Question
The best way to ensure your event's success is to give it sufficient lead time to develop a plan. Then you have the opportunity to work the plan and make sure you achieve all your goals.
One of our customers began planning for a significant anniversary last April. The event will be held in September. With this generous lead time, a plan to develop appropriate communications strategies, and all the other details means greater success.
While our supply of crystal balls is low, we do know time spent in looking into the future is extremely well spent. Being prepared for events, anniversaries, and opportunities with sufficient lead time makes sense and cents.

| They're Hall of Famers, Folks
 All their work on communications and livestock projects, plus their leadership and citizenship has led up to this moment for the Determans. Steve and Barb Determan are the 2010 Sac County Inductees for the Iowa 4-H Hall of Fame. They will be inducted and honored at the Iowa 4-H Hall of Fame Ceremony at the Iowa State Fair, August 22.
We can easily see why both Steve and Barb were nominated for this distinct tribute, both having had long and memorable histories in 4-H.
Steve has been a 4-H leader for the Early Achievers 4-H Club for 27 years. Not only has he dedicated countless hours to the club, but he's an involved member of the Sac County Extension Council, Sac County 4-H Committee, and the Iowa Association of County Extension Councils. On top of that, Steve is also the Sac County Fair Swine Superintendent.
Barb also keeps very, very busy. Barb has been a 4-H leader for the Early Achievers 4-H Club for 29 years. In addition to the strong commitment and enthusiasm she has shown to her club, Barb is the President-elect for the Iowa 4-H Foundation Board of Trustees. Barb was also a past member of the Sac County 4-H Endowment Committee.
As they both know how to get involved and be committed, it is no wonder that all three of their children, Andy, Dan, and Kourtney, share their same devotion to 4-H. Andy, Dan, and Kourtney are past members of the Iowa State 4-H Council, and attended the National 4-H Congress and the National 4-H Conference.
As we've worked with Steve and Barb for many years, we wholly agree they deserve the recognition in the Iowa 4-H Hall of Fame for their leadership and outstanding citizenship in Sac County.
Congratulations Steve and Barb, we are proud of you!
