I'd like to recognize one of the most courageous women
I've ever
personally known. Ethel M. DeGroot, fondly known by all as my Auntie Ethel,
died Saturday, April 7, at the age of 97.
Not only did she exhibit amazing characteristics as a successful entrepreneur and woman of her community, she has been a mentor my entire life. I am better for having known her, as are all those whose lives she touched.
