Fall back in love with life.
5 weeks from now.
5 sunrises on the river. 5 sunsets in the canyon.
Five days of renewal.

2011 New Blog Post Announcement

Greetings!

The neatest endorsement I've ever received about these river trips was from a man. He wasn't on the trip, of course, but his wife was.  And a few days after she got home, he said to her, 'I don't know what Page did to you, but tell her to do it again!"  She told me, "He loved the woman who came home to him." That was the best email ever.

The river and the canyon work magic. Pretty much all we have to do is show up, ready to play and ponder for five wonderful days.

Synchronized (or not) swimming in CAT
Semi-synchronized (ha!) swimming and river floating are optional.

Of course, the women guides at Sheri Griffith Expeditions work magic too. They row the boats. They cook the meals. They holler "Coffee!" in the morning when the rest of us are still snuggled in our tents on our cushy Paco pads.

My first River Writing Journey with SGE launched in 1998, right after the publication of Kathleen Jo Ryan's book Writing Down the River: Into the Heart of the Grand Canyon. Then, in 2006, an article in Oprah's O magazine listed these trips as "One of the top six great all-girl getaways of the year!"  That was cool!

This year's trip doesn't launch until August 7th.  There's still time to sign up!

And once again, it will be women only!
