PURPOSE: expand the sensuous nature of our writing by using sensory details to evoke emotion

FOR: memoirist, poets, essayists, novelists

COST: $110.00 (must pre-register by 11/12; $10 discount for alumni; LIMIT 10 people)

TIME: 8:30am to 4:00pm (optional hike at 4:00)

Sojourns

Each participant will receive a copy of Sojourns.

We'll explore the sensual essays and art featured in the magazine to whet our appetites. We'll do short writing prompts to get our juices flowing. We'll analyze some fiction passages from a few of the master storytellers to see how they use sensory detail to bring their worlds ALIVE!

Then we'll take out our figurative color pencils, dive into our own work, and START WRITING LIFE IN LIVING COLOR!
