bull elk grazing in horse pasture
WHEN Orion Magazine announced recently that they were bringing back their popular department, "THE PLACE WHERE YOU LIVE," I thought of a zillion things I wanted to share about the landscape I call home, and the people with whom I share it.  And yes, the animals that share this special place too, like the bull elk who dine daily on our sweet mountain grasses.

WHERE do you call home?  I invite you to read my recent blog post and leave a comment about the place where your dreams take root, the place where you can leave your shoes at the door.  Then go to Orion and find where you live on their map, see what others in your neighborhood might have written, then submit your own short essay.

But first, come visit.  I'm only a click away!
