The Importance of Planning Ahead
As August hits and the "back-to-school" rush begins, it is important to remember to plan ahead for all of those activities that will start popping up once school starts. To help you in this mission, American Mothers, Inc. will keep you up-to-date on events that we are planning for the coming months. Reaching out with Quilts!
Ernestine Allen, 2011 National Mother of the Year, along with former State mother, Virginia Williams, donated 10 handmade quilts to the Washington Hospital Center for the first 10 babies that were born on the 4th of July. The quilts were made by mothers in Pennsylvania.
AMI is on the Road!
On August 4 - 6, American Mothers will be an exhibitor at the Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) International Convention in Nashville, TN. This event will give us the opportunity to meet and connect with thousands of moms.

I love being with my grandparents and cousins while I am in Maine on vacation but I really miss my family and friends in West Virginia. This year I will be gone for five weeks. Around seventy people turned out at 1:30 pm on Thursday, May 26, 2011, to see the official unveiling of a statue that was presented to all mothers in Puerto Rico. Local art enthusiast, Ramon "Chiqui" Moreno, was the artist of a bronze sculpture that was placed in a landscaped area at the front door of the La Casa Cuna de San Juan, an orphanage house for children for adoption, located in an old U. S. Department of the Navy facility in the core of the San Juan, Puerto Rico....»
