The Greenies Brand is hosting the 2nd annual Pet Oral Health Event at PETCOs nationwide July 31st from 2 - 4 pm. We're so thankful to every veterinary technician who participated last year, and we're looking for your help again! You can educate pet parents about the importance of pet oral health at this free event. You'll have the opportunity to promote your clinic, learn and share practical pet oral health and be compensated for time. Stay tuned for more details! |

Congrats Brookdale students!
Students of Brookdale Community College's first NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant class have passed the didactic portion of the program (finals) and began their clinicals at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital on May 10th. The students are scheduled in 18 rotations over the course of 9 days.
In addition, the students were visited by Harriett Terodemos, CVT, Academic Department Chair of the Veterinary Technician Program at Bergen County College, and 5 students expressed interest in furthering their education and becoming veterinary technicians. Those interested students will earn two credits towards their education after sucessfully completing the VA program. |
Start planning for NVTW!
National Veterinary Technician Week will be held October 9 - 15, 2011. This year's theme will be "Vets and Pets Need Techs". This special week will be sponsored by Hill's Pet Nutrition as part of their commitment to pet health and nutrition. NAVTA is proud to represent veterinary technicians and support our members, state associations, specialties and student chapters during the 2011 NVTW.
