Motherhood Elevated
This month is our well-planned and extremely anticipated 2011 AMI National Convention in Salt Lake City, UT. The convention committee is excitedly awaiting your arrival.
By now you have hopefully registered and reserved your room for the April 28 to May 1, 2011 event at The Little America Hotel. We open the convention with Thursday night's Rocky Mountain Roundup coupled with a tour of an authentic pioneer village. After filling up on BBQ all attendees can see the beautiful town and landscape from the tops of the hills.
Friday night is the banquet following a day of touring the sites, shopping local stores and experiencing the elevated cuisine. The National Young Mother of the Year candidates and their families will be present to see who wins this prestigious title.
On Saturday breakout sessions occur in the Arizona, Wyoming and Idaho rooms plus in Ballroom C. Some of the featured topics include finance, parenting, online communications and relationships. You definitely don't want to miss this time to network with other Moms while learning and interacting with our professional presenters and panelists.
Saturday afternoon includes lunch and the presenter's topic, "What I Wish I'd Known if I Were a Mom!" Sounds like a luncheon not to be missed. The culmination of the convention occurs later that evening during the National Mother of the Year gala. We can't wait to see who this year's Mother is.
Bring your smiles and energy. This convention will ELEVATE you to new heights. We can't wait to see you in Salt Lake City!

Presenters Coming to Salt Lake
This year's convention has two keynote speakers that will honor our Moms and Elevate each of us to a new level of Motherhood. On Friday Dr. John Gray will speak to attendees about relationships between Moms and their family members. Author of Women are from Mars and Men are from Venus, Dr. Gray, is revered as a relationship expert.
The other male speaker is John Bytheway who is a Salt Lake City native. Attending the University of Utah and Brigham Young University, John received a Master's Degree in Religious Education in 2003. He then served as a missionary in the Philippines. John will speak to the attendees during lunch on Saturday. His topic is, "What I Wish I'd Known if I Were a Mom."
AMI appreciates each presenter for this one-of-a-kind event. We look forward to greeting each speaker and hope you have the opportunity to share your excitement that he made the trip to Salt Lake City.

Teach...
The following is an excerpt from the book, Bedtime Thoughts for a Christian Mom, by 2009 National Young Mother of the Year, Kimberly Wright.
"Don't you savor those moments when your child says or does something so sweet and extraordinary that your pride could explode your body? You have that fleeting but celebrated feeling of 'maybe I'm not doing such a bad job here.' I love those moments."
Look for Kimberly at this year's convention.
