Events you'll find at this year's WVC

 

Technician Stampede

Take advantage of this fun networking opportunity that will be held on the first day of WVC, Feb. 21 from 6:30 - 8:30 pm. This exciting meet and greet will also feature a mechanical bull and country music star Trent Tomlinson!

 

NAVTA Membership Meeting

Meet with other members of NAVTA that are attending WVC to discuss happenings within the association and what's going on at the conference. The info session will be held during the conference on Feb. 22 from 3:00 - 4:00 pm.

 

Chocolate Tasting

NAVTA members and special guests are invited to come experience cocktails and chocolate from Mars' chocolatier, Ed Sequine. Mars, one of the worlds' leaders in chocolate and candy, perfected M&M's, Snickers bars and Dove chocolate. This exclusive experience will be held on Feb. 22 from 6:30- 7:30 pm at Mandalay Bay, Jasmin F&G, Level 3. The chocolate tasting will be followed by cocktails and networking.

 

Specialty Meeting

Members of NAVTA specialties are encouraged to attend this event. Topics ranging from zoology to animal dentistry will be discussed. Anyone interested in the specialties of veterinary medicine are welcome as well. This meeting will be held on Feb. 23 from 10:00 - 11:00 am.

 

NAVTA Technician Fair

NAVTA will be hosting a Technician Fair at the Western Veterinary Conference on Feb. 23 from 4:00 - 7:00 pm. All members and those interested in furthering their learning are encouraged to come.

Membership Levels

 

An Active Member  is a veterinary technician who has graduated from a program accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and/or is licensed, certified or registered as a veterinary technician. Active members are entitled to vote and hold an elected office. Active members must live in the United States.

 

An Associate Member is anyone who is not eligible for Active Membership but is interested in the Association's goals. Associate members can serve on committees, but may not vote or hold an elected office. Associate membership is open to veterinarians, veterinary technicians residing outside the USA and veterinary assistants.

 

A Student Member  is anyone enrolled as a full-time student in an AVMA-accredited veterinary technology program and is entitled to all benefits of an Associate Member.
