REACH...
Snow days are here! Being snowed in brings opportune moments to spend time with the family. Dedicated mothers and wives think of these days as a chance to get all of that house cleaning done or finish projects. But, instead of prioritizing- take your kids away from their video games and make a family day out of it. Try these ideas as ways of getting the kids to hang out. - Board games- an old standby that doesn't get a lot of play time these days.
- Have everyone in the family pick their favorite movie and have a film fest all day!
- Baking! Everybody has a sweet tooth, and it makes the house warm and cozy.
- Snowfights, snowforts, snowmen. If it starts with the word snow- it's bound to be fun on a snow day.
- Invite the neighbors over and have a feast. This way everyone loses that sense of cabin fever, and who can turn down a full stomach?
In a world that revolves around making it to dance lessons, band practice, and a swim match all in one day, it's hard to get quality time in with the whole gang. This snow day is a blessing, not as a way to ease your schedule but to take a break from it. Pull out the Yahtzee and make some hot chocolate! |
