The Spring 2010 NAVTA Journal was mailed last week.   You should be receiving your copy very soon.  This month there are four terrific CE articles on: Chronic Kidney Disease in Small Animal Practice, Part 2 of Addressing Feline Obesity, Greyhounds, and Initial Assessment of the Emergency Patient: Perfusion Parameters.

WVC and NAVTA Scholarship Opportunity 
 
WVC/NAVTA is proud to announce that a scholarship will be awarded to one individual who has demonstrated leadership skills within their SCNAVTA (Student Chapter of the National Association of Veterinary Technicians of America), as well as a high academic level throughout enrollment of their current veterinary technology program.
The Western Veterinary Conference has many opportunities for continuing education for the entire veterinary team. The conference runs February 20th - 24th, 2011 at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.

All completed applications and submissions must be received at the NAVTA office no later than Monday, September 27th, 2010.

NAVTA is pleased to announce our first annual conference, to be held November 12-14 in Washington, D.C.  The weekend will provide opportunities for networking, learning, and lots of fun!  This inaugural conference is open to all members of the veterinary healthcare team, students, and the allied industry.
 
Information about the conference is available online and a brochure will be included with your Spring issue of The NAVTA Journal.  We hope to see you in Washington, D.C. this fall!
 
 
 
NAVTA CONTINUING EDUCATION
 
We are always looking for additional articles for our CE sections.  The Fall issue is centering on Holistic medicine and the Winter issue will have a focus on Exotics and Avian.
