Listen to the voice of your

soul and spirit and set healthy boundaries and limits!

Although this is considered the middle of winter, and today most of the mainland of the United States is receiving another blast of unusual winter weather, the month of February includes many new beginnings with the promise of Spring!  Today is a New Moon in Aquarius, and it's also Ground Hog's Day, which is the updated version of Imbolc, a Gaelic term for "in the belly," which is also known as the Festival of Milk; tomorrow is the Chinese New Year, too!

The current New Moon energies surrounding these days of age-old celebrations may have you feeling increased desires to communicate with like-minded people and an increased desires for your independence and freedom, establishing your own rules. Furthermore, today's energy of the New Moon along with winter weather is a wonderfully supportive energy of tranquility, which can help you address these areas of your life if you slow down to connect to it!  It's just for a few days until things become active again. Otherwise, you may just get frustrated by pushing things that are not meant to be pushed right now. It's very important that we note when to take action and when to take the action of sitting back. This is also the key to living life smarter instead of working harder.

As I mentioned last month, we're seeing a lot of opportunities to review both physical and emotional structures as our soul wishes to express itself through us in ways we've never been able to experience before. Our lower ego does a fine job in protecting us, but it needs us to move it out of the way, acknowledging feelings of fear the ego brings up in order for us to address them.  Properly addressing this ego distraction allows us to access our higher consciousness where we can tap into the new and creative ideas to rebuild and to recreate new structures.  Water is the element of our emotions, and as much as we can't stop water from flowing, we are required to allow our emotions to flow as well. So there's nothing like a nature-imposed ice-olation for humanity to stop and take notice of what they are rescheduling and working around in their lives due to the weather caused by water!

Taking the time to study, read, reflect is an action that not only assists us in reviewing that which no longer serves us, but it also prepares ourselves for new activities by completing and clearing out old ones.  Over the next few days, you may be feeling a decline in your emotional and physiological activities and in life energy in general, which you're being energetically supported to do so.  It's a wonderful time right now to review your life and emotions to see where your emotions may be stagnant, turbulent, and need a release to flow, returning to calm waters.

Since challenges are experiences to teach us wonderful insights about ourselves (they are not meant "to do us in"), we can emerge from this time of reflection with a new awareness of what is important to us and remembering to take time out to focus on our own personal love of self on a whole new level.  There is where we can find who we truly are instead of how others see us or rely on us in the many roles we hold.  The gems inside of us are prodding us to let our inner light shine, finding and being our authentic self, regardless of what people think or say.

One of the benefits of this newly-found wisdom and peace is that you know what it is you truly want and need. Most people only know what they don't want in their lives, which makes setting effective limits and boundaries extremely difficult. This watery time of the New Moon helps you understand your very important feelings. Notice that your feelings feed your emotions, which feed your thoughts, which again feed your feelings, which feed your emotions, which feeds your thoughts, and the cycle continues until you take the time to see what's going on and to see your own depths beneath the waters of your emotions.  It is through this awareness that your intuition can guide you when you give it a voice!  When heard, you are lead to truth and to the solution, and this is when you truly grow and transform the nature of what motivates you--your water element!

How do you do this?  It requires self-discipline, commitment, and loyalty to yourself, which are words we mostly associate with writing a resume or with our work, isn't it? We don't normally associate these words as self-empowering tools of action, nor do we place ourselves as the first priority. Use this time to decide what actions you're going to take to balance your emotions with a more focused sense of feeling, which you can do once you know what you do want.  These calmer waters is where that creativity flows, you can relax, and your relationship with life becomes beautiful again.

Setting boundaries and limits, placing yourself as the first and top priority, is that action where you show yourself that you are loyal to yourself.  Now you have the energy and ability to be able to assist others. So boundaries are normal and necessary, which you can institute with grace and diplomacy. As I mentioned in last month's newsletter, Saturn went retrograde on January 26th, and Saturn is an energy that requires discipline and structure, and if you notice, Saturn has rings around it, which are its own boundaries!

So if you're a "relentless giver and do-er," feeling overwhelmed and emotionally and physically drained, know that your setting boundaries means you'll do a better job assisting others. Make the time so you can reflect and be quiet.  Plan time nurturing yourself as you would a child, spouse, parent, loved one or even your pet!  Discipline, loyalty, commitment: apply these self-serving and deserving actions towards yourself and become self aware because...
It's never been more important to balance our emotional, spiritual, mental and physical bodies equally.

This is investing in your soul, and
this is how you can listen to the voice of your soul and spirit.

Enjoy yourself in a whole new way and in a way that you are whole.

And remember the energies of this month's moon cycles will support you in deciding your next steps, helping you draw the lines, too.  More on that below!  (I just love this whole bigger picture thing, seeing how it all pulls together, don't you?)

With unconditional love and many blessings to you,

Faith

New MoonNew Moon in Aquarius

Wednesday, February 2, 9:31 p.m. EST

Wednesday, February 2, ushers in a New Moon in Aquarius, during the Sun Sign of Aquarius. New Moons are basically known for prayers relating to beauty, health and self-improvement, as well as farms/gardens, job hunting, love and romance, and networking.  Specifically, this Aquarian New Moon encourages everyone to consider their next step and where they would like to draw the line--how appropriate with Saturn being retrograde to help with our setting boundaries!  Prayers are most beneficial by blessing anything that follows your heart's desires. It's a wonderful time to be experimental, liberated, adventurous and focused on the future. Think outside the norms and brainstorm, as this is also supportive of inventive solutions, humanitarian attitudes, anything that is future-oriented, group projects, knowledge, scientific areas, problem solving, personal expression, friendships...so kick loose and take some risks. Detach from the past, as your past is not your future: F.E.A.R. is False Expectations (or Evidence) Appearing Real. This is a great time for breaking away from restrictive situations, providing freedom and providing independence!  The best time for your prayers would be between dawn and sunset on the day of the New Moon to 3-1/2 days later.
 Full Moon

Full Moon in Leo or Virgo--You Choose!

Friday, February 18, 3:35 a.m. EST

Full Moons provide supportive energy in the areas of prayers relating to prophecy, protection, divination, help finding a new job, healing serious conditions, love, knowledge, legal undertakings, money and dreams, it's a good idea to review the seeds you planted at the New Moon so that you can wrap up and release that which you've sown.

Since the Moon supports and impacts our watery emotions, knowing the Moon's sign during its two strongest phases (New Moon and Full Moon) helps you focus your feelings/thoughts/emotions by using energies that are the strongest under that sign. Again, this is understanding energy and using that which supports us so that we can live smarter instead of working harder. Another reason why putting your spiritual work first is so important: everything becomes easier and life unfolds with amazing synchronicity!!

This Full Moon occurs in the final moments of being in Leo (a Fire sign), however, for most of the phase of this Full Moon, it will be in the sign of Virgo (an Earth sign). These are two very different signs:

Moon in Leo (Fire element) is supportive of doing what inspires you, of playing, creating, being the center of attention, courage, expressing your emotions vividly and openly. Based on your intentions and seeds of the New Moon, you may choose the Moon in Leo, which your prayers will be most supported on the evening before the Full Moon, which is Feb. 17th, when the Moon is still in Leo. Also, the Sun Sign moves from Aquarius into Pisces at 7:35 p.m. on Feb. 17, so another supportive energy could highlight spirituality and/or the creative arts.

Moon in Virgo (Earth element) is supportive of cleanliness, organization, undertaking routine and painstaking work, matters of employment, intellect, and health. Virgo tends towards change. The energies most supportive would be on Feb. 18 towards the midnight hour.

So what do you wish to create over this next moon phase?!  There's so much to consider and have fun with, isn't there?!
