Recovery Infrastructure Program

Anticipating hundreds of millions of dollars in federal funds for Massachusetts infrastructure projects, Governor Patrick selected Jeffrey A. Simon to head the Administration's economic recovery infrastructure program. Governor Patrick is preparing to maximize job creation in the Commonwealth and lay the foundations of long-term economic growth. To ensure integrity and openness, the Governor will implement a series of accountability and transparency initiatives for the taxpayer-funded infrastructure projects. A central website will provide complete information about every project that receives federal stimulus funding. These announcements represent an important step in Governor Patrick's efforts to ensure that Massachusetts gets maximum benefit from the federal recovery package. "These investments are to rebuild Massachusetts and get people back to work," said Governor Patrick. "Jeffrey Simon's job is to assure that it is done right, with transparency and accountability."

  The Best Industry

Our business is unmatched. It offers us all long-term tangible benefits. Consider the many virtues our industry has, even in trying times.
Our industry is here to stay. Construction is a basic necessity of human life (shelter, food, clothing, and water). Construction cannot be exported. It must occur where the end product is planned. In contrast, manufacturing continues to leave this country. Unlike service centers or software programs, which other countries can provide from afar, construction is captive to the site.
The construction industry rewards hard work. There is no substitute. Good work is rewarded. What is the best advertising in the construction business?  A project that is completed on time and on budget.
