Old Business
Honoring Stonybrook
We presented Stonybrook with a shadow box and a $1000 "no strings attached" donation. While we gave a give Stonybrook wanted us to know that the funds went for improvements to the parking lot.
Candle Purchase
Continues in process. The company we order from are slow to respond, and we have been slow in our response once received.
Fall Training Day Was held and while the attendance was light the individuals that were in attendance left feeling well trained in our Media and Music areas.
Technology Needs
Laptop - It was agreed that a laptop will need to be purchased for use for the Chrysalis Database and the Media. The suggestion was made by Kathi to put a cap of 1500.00 for the purchase of a laptop. Ron and Bill Pollard will work together to arrange the purchase. Additionally, it was agreed that a policy be written concerning use.
Projector - Bill Pollard is working to have a projector donated.
Chrysalis Board
Reminder was given to the Board that being in attendance and active, to be the working Board that was agreed when accepting the position.
Open Positions: The Board is currently looking for a new Stonybrook Representative and Reynoldsburg Representative. Youth Positions: Members of the board holding positions in agape, outreach, fellowship, logistics and community reps are asked to find a young person to bring on board to serve and help in your position.
December Gathering
In lieu of meeting in
December we would like to plan a gathering for the board members. This
will include those leaving and coming on in various positions. Kathi Herington will plan and coordinate the meeting.
New Business
Safe Sanctuary Policy We don't have any particular policy. Kathi will check with Nashville to see if there is a national policy for Chrysalis. In the meantime, we will ask team to attest to no convictions or discipline by local church, also to affirm there is no reason for them not to work with youth. We continue to remind team members to make sure they are not alone with participants.
Nashville Training
Charles Dartt suggested that when Nashville offers training that a sub-committee of the Board make the trip. It was agreed and Ron England will keep an eye open for any opportunities that may arise. Team Updates- Registrations: 8 Girls/5 Guys
- Team Meetings: Girls have began/Guys still need a Single Life speaker.
