It is so good to be bringing to you the October/November Flight 24/7 eNewsletter! It's been a while since our last publication, we apologize.
First, I want to welcome all of our 2008 Butterflies, especially those Butterflies who attended this past summer! We welcome you to the Community and encourage you to come out and support the upcoming weekends. We need your help and excitement!
This eNewsletter contains quite a bit of information! We hope you will review and read it well to ensure you are informed and understand all that is happening in your Chrysalis Community!
We are excited about the upcoming Chrysalis season! Now is the time to start recruiting for the weekends coming up in January and February. If you know a young person (15 - 18) or young adult (19 - 24) talk to them now about attending. Our weekends have been filling so we encourage you to get your Caterpillar registered early.
I would like to underline two articles in the eNewsletter. One, the announcement of new Board Members who's term begin January 2009. I am excited about the team the Lord is establishing and hope you will thank them for stepping up to serve the next time you see them. We will, of course, be thanking the Board Members who's term have expired this year as a Board and as a Community! Special note we do have new registrars, Steve and Valerie Smith the applications have been updated with the correct addresses, of course if you are emailing the applications they continue to be sent to chrysalisapplications@gmail.com. Secondly, the article Honoring Stonybrook UMC. What a great morning we had honoring Stonybrook, I encourage you to read the article. We are blessed as a community to have Stonybrook committed to the ministry of Chrysalis!

weekends is underway!!
Chrysalis is blessed to have Steve Smith serving as the Boy's Lay Director and Ronda Dartt serving as the Girl's Lay Director. Both Lay Directors have served the Chrysalis community in many capacities and both have held positions on the Chrysalis Board.

"My Chrysalis journey was such an incredible experience that I am very grateful to have had. Going through the weekend has changed my life in so many ways. I was really touched by all the agape that was shared throughout the weekend and could definitely feel God's love all around me. Since Chrysalis, I have continued to grow my relationship with Christ by what I learned from the weekend. Recently I was able to return to serve on the boy's flight and also attend candlelight. | 2008 Fall Training |
On Saturday, November 1, we held the fall training. All who were in attendance walked away better prepared to serve the Chrysalis community as a music director or Media Director! Another day of training will be planned for the spring for the Summer Flight/Journey's! Be sure to continue watching the eNewsletter Flight 24/7 for information.
The Chrysalis Board would like to especially thank Lane Halterman for passing on his experiences and knowledge as a Music Director. We learned that Lane is OLD he went on his original flight in 1996, quoting Lane... "Wow, that's a long time ago..."
We are blessed as a community that Lane has continued his involvement in Chrysalis!! Thanks Lane for you assistance on Saturday and for being so faithful to the Lord and Chrysalis!

| Chrysalis Honors Stonybrook UMC |

On Sunday, October 19 Chrysalis honored Stonybrook UMC for their 10+ years of hosting Chrysalis CARES.
During the morning services Chrysalis shared a video explaining Chrysalis, a testimony from Seth Milum, member of both Stonybrook and the Chrysalis Community, and shared the fact that 1300 young men and women have experienced Christ in a unique way through the ministry of Chrysalis due to their act of Love for Christ and their love to share His grace. In addition Chrysalis presented Stonybrook with a Shadowbox (pictured below) and a monitary gift that Chrysalis encouraged them to use for their greatest need.
