Old Business

Air Conditioners
The board agreed to give the approved air conditioner to the McKenzie family and to decide what to do with the others at a later date.  There is some interest in the other units and ideas are still welcome.

Candle Purchase
The current candles Chrysalis is using are unavailable.  Ron will look into other options including asking Emmaus where they get their candles.

Boys Weekend Update
The weekend was very successful despite having an inexperienced team.  Everything worked out for the best and a few people were identified as potential leaders.

Honoring Stonybrook UMC
A rough draft of what could be included in the bulletin was created.  It was suggested that we look up stats from past weekends (such as how many caterpillars have gone through Chrysalis) to be included.  We are tentatively looking at September and are also looking for ideas for a plaque or presentation.  Rob made a motion that in honoring Stonybrook UMC for letting us use their facilities, we give back $1 per youth attended up to 10% of current funds.  The motion passed with other members needed to give their vote via e-mail.

Technology Needs
Laptop Computer
We have an estimate for purchase of $500-700.  This is not an immediate need at present and will be further discussed at a later date.
Portable Video Projector
Though showing wear and not completely user friendly, it was decided to use it until it quits working.
Portable Sound System
A motion was made that pending conversation with leaders of Stonybrook (regarding use of their equipment) we will purchase a portable sound system from Guitar Center for the given quote of $1700 (if still available).  The motion carried.

Fall Training Session
Discussion was held to decide what should be included in the session and are as follows
-Train people on the new sound system and media
 -Clown training
-Music leaders-discussing their schedule and responsibilities
 -Sponsor responsibilities
 -Team roles
The date for the training session is set for November 1st, 9AM - 3PM.  Ron will call and confirm the date at Stonybrook.

New Business
Board Positions
-Steve and Valerie Smith will be accepting the open registrar positions.
-Dwayne and Linda Hill are prayerfully considering coming on as Good
   Shephards.
 -The logistics position remains open

Hoots and Outreach
A reminder was given to continue thinking about what we want to do with hoots and outreach.  It was discussed that hoots should be held every 5th Friday to create continuity and hopefully boost attendance.
