Welcome/Devotion
Kathi opened the meeting with a devotion and communion.
Minutes of the previous meeting
It was explained and approved that all minutes will be reviewed via email and any correction provided in the same manor. The board will be emailed updated minutes and available at each board meeting.
Treasurer Report
Actual financial report available upon request.
Discussion:
OSU concession a final decision will be made concerning the OSU Concession Stand at the June meeting. In preparation for that discussion Bob Herington will find out if a smaller stand is available. This information was unavailable in time for the April meeting. Additional conversation was held and it is likely we will discontinue the concession stand if a smaller stand is not available.
Area Updates
Kitchen Coordinator Update
Jeff Rings requested that an announcement be added to the newsletter requesting any one interested in serving as a Day Coordinator to attend a meeting on Monday, May 19th.
Outreach Update
Craig and Jeanna requested the board to approve the development of a video for use to promote Chrysalis. It was suggested that the video could be added to the web site as well. The board approved and agreed that this was a good direction to take.
Leadership Update
It was reported that both the Girls and Boys teams are coming along, but to please keep them in prayer. The Summer is always a challenge due to vacations. Chris suggested we may need to look at the we do team selection, especially for the summer teams.
Community Represented Update
Cinda reminded the board that we still need a Reynoldsburg Representative.
ClownCollege
The ClownCollege was held on Saturday, April 5th and it was very successful. It was reported that we have approximately 17 clowns now prepared to serve the Chrysalis Community. The Board decided that beginning immediately that Clowns would no long be permitted to serve on back to back teams to ensure each of the Clowns have opportunity to serve.
Hoot/4th Friday
The Hoot will be held at Karen and Ken Brantley's home, Friday, May 16th. It was decided that Chrysalis will provide the hot dogs, hamburgers, and buns. The community is being requested to bring pop or snacks based on the first letter of their last name. Additionally, each former Lay Director is going to be contacted and asked to host a reunion during the Hoot for their Flight/Journey. If they are not able each Hoot we will seek to host at least one reunion for past Flight/Journey's. |
