| A Note From the Community Spiritual Director
Dear Friends,
This past month folks from my church and I attended a Revival at the Vineyard in Columbus. It was an unusual revival because it featured leaders and participants from over 40 churches in the Columbus area - large and small, young and old, black and white, "liberal" and "conservative." There was awesome singing and worship, inspiring preaching and very specific altar calls each evening. Persons were invited to respond to the altar call if they desired to accept Jesus for the first time, if they wanted to renew their commitment to Christ, and if they desired to offer themselves in new ways to God's call. Sounds a lot like a Chrysalis weekend, doesn't it? The Revival focused on responding to God through faith and action, not unlike the focus of Chrysalis - we are encouraged to grow in faith even as we make a difference in the world in real, tangible ways. Remember the tripod? Prayer, study and action are the solid legs of a Christian disciple, a lover of Jesus, a servant of God.
In these next steps I encourage you to reflect on your personal journey - has it been full of hills and valleys? Perhaps you have had a smooth road so far. How do you handle the potholes and gravel along the way? My prayer is that your journey is steady as your faith is grounded, balanced in prayer study and action. Make a difference for Jesus - Fly With Christ!
And don't forget to connect with the community on May 16 at the 4th Friday Hoot.

Kitchen ~ Day Coordinators
Are you looking for a ministry opportunity? Are you a good manager? Do you enjoy working with people? Then Jeff Ring's NEEDS YOU! A meeting will be held on Monday, May 19th, 6PM at Stonybrook UMS for anyone who is interested in serving the Chrysalis Kitchen as a Day Coordinator! This meeting will be an opportunity for you to understand the responsibilities and a time for you to ask any questions you may have.
